The assembly is quite big now as compared to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tssg.org\/blog\/miguelpdl\/archives\/2009\/01\/fia_madrid.html\" TARGET=\"_blank\">FIA Madrid<\/a> and there were tons of interesting sessions however I spent most of my time in the <a href=\"http:\/\/fi-ghent.fi-week.eu\/fia-session-ii-smart-infrastructures\/\" TARGET=\"_blank\">FIA session II: Smart Infrastructures<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/fi-ghent.fi-week.eu\/fia-session-v-architecture-group\/\" TARGET=\"_blank\">FIA session V: Architecture Group<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Three particular items caught my eye &#8220;Programmability of the Infrastructure \u2013 CHANGE project&#8221; and &#8220;Resilience in Networks: Elements and Approach for a Trustworthy Infrastructure \u2013 ResumeNet project&#8221; and the follow up activities of the FI Arch group (<a href=\"http:\/\/ec.europa.eu\/information_society\/activities\/foi\/library\/docs\/fiarch-current-internet-limitations-march2011.pdf\">on the current internet limitations document [pdf]<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.panlab.net\/fileadmin\/img\/PII_7_01.jpg\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>Then came the great news that <a href=\"http:\/\/www.panlab.net\/news\/view\/article\/pii-wins-future-internet-award.html\">Panlab II had won the Future Internet prize for the best European Future Internet initiative<\/a>. Wow a great success for the PII team, and especially those in the TSSG which included Eamonn, Shane and Zohra. <\/p>\n<p>Their work focused on <a href=\"http:\/\/trac.panlab.net\/trac\/wiki\/TeagleRepository\">PII resource repository, which was implemented using a REST style architecture, the full design of which can be seen below<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/trac.panlab.net\/trac\/raw-attachment\/wiki\/TeagleRepository\/teagle_architecture_repos.png\"  \/><\/p>\n<p>The PII Repository Data Model was defined by two data models<br \/>\n* <a href=\"http:\/\/trac.panlab.net\/trac\/wiki\/Core_Data_Model\" TARGET=\"_blank\">Core Data Model<\/a><br \/>\n* <a href=\"http:\/\/trac.panlab.net\/trac\/wiki\/TestSuiteDataModel\" TARGET=\"_blank\">Test Suite Data Model<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>The list of deliverables capturing this work include:<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/2009\/03\/download_file.html\" TARGET=\"_blank\">D3.1 System Analysis<\/a> where a list of the Panlab Community testbeds are maintained and the resources from those testbeds providing <a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/D3.1r-Revised_System_Analysis_report_v1.0.pdf\" TARGET=\"_blank\">PII components are described in UML [pdf]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/2009\/03\/d32_testbed_service_descriptio.html\" TARGET=\"_blank\">D3.2 Testbed Service Description Specification<\/a> in which the specification of the service description system is given. Also requirements are broken down into more refined technical requirements for the specification of the <a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/D3.2-Testbed_Desription_System_Specification_v1.0.pdf\" TARGET=\"_blank\">PII testbed services description system [pdf]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/2010\/08\/d37_implementation_report.html\" TARGET=\"_blank\">D3.7 Implementation Report <\/a>in which the Service Description, Service Discovery and Service Orchestration of the PII testbed is given. This document also reports on the extensive implementation efforts realised by WP3 PII partners delivering a <a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/D3.7-Implementation_Report_v1.0_draft_.pdf\" TARGET=\"_blank\">functional PII framework [pdf]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/2009\/12\/d42_monitoring_requirements_an.html\" TARGET=\"_blank\">D4.2 Monitoring requirements and procedures for service level agreement compliance<\/a> has the functional specification of PII\u2019s quality assurance framework, which hosts the <a href=\"http:\/\/pii.tssg.org\/D4.2-Monitoring_requirements_and_procedures_for_SLA_compliance_v1.0.pdf\" TARGET=\"_blank\">metrics and processes for quality assurance in the PII framework [pdf]<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>And finally their paper<br \/>\nEamonn Power, Zohra Boudjemil and Shane Fox.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.panlab.net\/fileadmin\/documents\/Publications\/TEMU_2010_archpaper.pdf\" TARGET=\"_blank\"> Architecture and Implementation of a Testbeds Repository [pdf]<\/a>.
