Great.<br \/>\nLooking at the Science Technology and Innovation (STI) Programme there are a number of sub-programmes:<br \/>\n`# World Class Research STI Sub-Programme;<br \/>\n`# Enterprise STI Sub-Programme;<br \/>\n`# Agri-Food Research Sub-Programme;<br \/>\n`# Energy Research Sub-Programme;<br \/>\n`# Marine Research Sub-Programme;<br \/>\n`# Geoscience Sub-Programme;<br \/>\n`# Health Research Sub-Programme; and<br \/>\n`# Environment Research Sub-Programme.<br \/>\nAll described in <a title=\"NDP_Main_Ch08.pdf (application\/pdf Object)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ndp.ie\/documents\/NDP2007-2013\/NDP_Main_Ch08.pdf\">NDP Chapter 8: Enterprise, Science and Innovation Priority (application\/pdf)<\/a><br \/>\nAt least at the moment, the ones of most interest to me are the  World Class Research STI Sub-Programme and Enterprise STI Sub-Programme.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>According to the NDP document, public funding of Research and Development (R&#038;D) has risen rapidly in recent years, more than doubling between 2000 and 2005.
